With the Platinum Group Metals (PGM) sector facing increasing pressure to improve efficiency, reduce costs and remain globally competitive, Mintek is inviting industry stakeholders to participate in its PGM Industry Day on 26 June 2026.

The event will bring together mining companies, processing operations, technology providers, researchers, government representatives and industry partners for a focused engagement on innovation, technical solutions and collaboration opportunities within the PGM sector.

Hosted at Mintek's Randburg campus, the Industry Day will provide attendees with direct access to Mintek's specialists and researchers, offering a closer look at the organisation's latest technologies, research programmes and technical services developed to support industry needs.

The event comes at a time when the sector is increasingly looking to innovation to address operational challenges, improve recoveries, enhance sustainability and unlock greater value from mineral resources. Participants will gain insights into technologies and capabilities that can assist operations across the PGM value chain, while also exploring opportunities for collaboration with one of Africa's leading mineral and metallurgical research organisations.

Industry stakeholders attending the event will have the opportunity to engage with experts on current industry challenges, discuss emerging trends and identify areas where research and technology can help drive performance and growth.

The programme will showcase Mintek's latest service offerings and innovations, highlight its technical expertise across key disciplines, and demonstrate how research can be translated into practical solutions that deliver value to industry.

Beyond the technical presentations, the Industry Day will serve as an important networking platform, enabling delegates to connect with peers, researchers and decision-makers who are shaping the future of the PGM sector.

Mintek has encouraged companies and organisations across the industry to register early, as places are limited.
